Andre Iguodala has announced his retirement from an NBA career spanning 19 years with four NBA titles. He will now take over Mosaic, a $200 million venture capital fund. The former Golden State Warriors player will transition to the boardroom alongside longtime business partner Rudy Cline-Thomas.
The early-stage venture fund will focus on investments in enterprise software, fintech, healthcare and sports companies. It emphasizes diversity, financial returns, and social impact as core values. Iguodala has already secured investments for innovative companies such as Vessel and Athletes First.
I’m not only focused on backing the best early stage founders, but also obsessed with changing the representation of minorities in the industries we’re investing in.
