In April 2023, at the age of 60, Reid shattered the world record in the 60-meter dash at the USA Track and Field Masters Championship, clocking in at 8.49 seconds. Her achievement capped a lifetime of passion for speed that began on the tracks of Clewiston, Florida. As a high school student, she set enduring records in the 100-yard dash, but her greatest athletic feats came later in life.

Reid currently ranks as the world’s No. 1 senior athlete in the 50- and 100-meter events and holds the top spot in the U.S. for shot put in her age category.
